Our Services
Learn more about how we help our small business owners.
Tax preparation
New Clients:
We’ll first do an intake meeting to learn more about you, including but not limited to: your previous year’s tax return (if you have one), common questions related to your jobs, dependents, business, and more. Then we’ll get to work preparing your taxes for the current tax year.
Returning Clients:
Since you’re already a familiar face, we just need your tax documents to get your tax preparation started. We offer in-person document drop off and also use docusign if you’d prefer to save yourself a trip and do everything digitally. We stand behind our work and will discuss or respond to items with the IRS on behalf of existing clients if there’s ever a need, as well as provide guidance on tax related items.
Tax planning
We offer in-person tax planning meetings with our clients who wish to have a more hands-on approach to their tax year. We’ll uncover what is important to you, your history, your goals for the future, your current environment (W2 jobs, family, investments, businesses owned, etc.) Then, we’ll build a plan. If necessary, we bring in other resources to help maximize tax savings and investments (an attorney, financial advisor, etc).
Accounting, Payroll
& Bookkeeping
We offer a free initial consult and most follow-up questions are free of charge. We like to take an hour or two to get to know each other to make sure we’re the right fit for you. If we move forward, we offer an ala carte menu for client-specific needs, as each client’s situation is unique.
We offer:
- Payroll only
Includes weekly, bi-weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly paychecks, payroll tax deposits, reporting and documents
- Accounts payable
Enter vendor invoices, pay vendor invoices with input from the client
- Accounts receivable
Invoice customers, receive deposits in, file excise/sales tax returns
- Bookkeeping
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, track income/expenses by job and create financials based on consolidated information or by jobs/projects, location, etc.
- Payroll Work Comp
If they have pay-as-you-go insurance, we can upload the applicable numbers and prepare the work comp audit each year.
Financial Consulting
Our financial planning services start with budget and forecast preparation, owner financial statements, and a review of your financial statements. Then, together we’ll make tweaks to operations if necessary (do we need a higher gross margin, do we need to cut costs, are we getting to the point to meet the goals of the ownership). We can also create custom financials/documents that fit your needs (not every owner finds the “norm” financials useful/beneficial).
We can collect on Accounts Receivable (we can be the bad cop), help you with setting up a new business including the pros and cons of each business setup and how each affects the owner(s). We’ll talk to your business banker and insurance agent, help with government applications (including the PPP application and forgiveness process), and even SBA loans.
